  • Comments Thread For: Christian Mbilli: Canelo Alvarez Is Past His Best, But Jaime Munguia Is Fragile

Christian Mbilli (26-0, 22 KOs), the latest 168-pound contender to burst through as a worthy adversary to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, predicts a win over Jaime Munguia on May 4 but nevertheless calls Canelo "past his best."

          Nobody calling him out
He’s up there in the rankings
I know he refused a fight with Morrell but now has changed opinion and did mention his name
Or is it Benny’s name he mentioned
I know he called one of those guys out
Wouldn’t be surprised if Canelo fights him , perfect setting

Mbilli is correct Canelo, is past his prime, and will probably be retiring within 3-4 more fight's.
Munguia isn't as fragile as Mbilli would have us believe, you see no one has been able to crack Munguia's so called fragility.
I'd like to see Muinguia, put an end Canelo's less than stellar championship reign in the 168 pound division.
That said Canelo still might have enough left to defeat the likes of Munguia, and Mbilli, although that's by no way a guarantee.
I believe that both Munguia, and Mbilli, would give Canelo, all he can handle, and then some. On their way to to their first possible losses.

Mbilli is powerful, but Canelo is on another level.

Mbilli is a bum fighting nobodies trying to say this will be easy, no Mexican undefeated fighter that’s been a champion has ever been easy fighting the older champion.

It would probably Fight of the Decade though.
