Shame McGuigan wouldn't fight Brian Mitchell or Azuma Nelson! Where's Dave McAuley on the list?

What kind of bull**** is Kieran Mulvaney slinging in his article. The Irish have a long, and star studded history in the sport of boxing.
Going all the way back before the turn of the 20th century, with champions like John l. Sullivan, Terrible Terry McGovern, Billy Conn, Gene Tunney, and Jimmy Slattery, Jack Dillon, Bob Fitzsimmons, Philadelphia Jack O'Brian, just to name a few. Don't short change the Irish when it comes to boxing they've been around for a long time!

Boricua181, the names you mentioned are excluded because they weren’t born in Ireland. Jim Driscoll, benny Lynch and Tyson Fury are excluded for the same reason. Bob Fitzsimmons was no more Irish than Dillian Whyte

Not a single one of those fighters you named are Irish.

I mean, Bob Fitzsimmons? He's British. The others are American born and raised.

They are of Irish decent, they came from Ireland, they just didn't sprout up on American soil, as for Fitzimmons, he's half Irish, and half British!
