Canelo has got to know Berlanga will not go down well at all, he is the worst opponent he could pick.

When has Canelo ever taken a risk? Only when he's had either PEDs in his system and or had the judges taken care of.

He's a cash cow thanks to the poorly educated Mexican expats in USA..I wonder how many non Mexicans actually pay to watch him.

Him and Eddie will start a narrative about beating all of these "undefeated" fighters who are D grade at best.

He doesn’t care what boxing fandom thinks, he knows dazn will pay him big money for virtually zero risk for the rest of his career

Obviously DAZN and GBP are going to pay him way more than PBC would've paid him, to fight Munguia! Looks like Crawford will probably leave PBC too!

Canelo will follow the money. Why wouldn't he? Or anyone else for that matter? Isn't that why those who haven't proven themselves keep holding out for a payday with Canelo?

Then they can go back to setting up big fights without the divas. Instead of 50m for one fighter they an make 25-40 cards for that kind of dosh

No problem with him making money.
                  but two issues.
                  A/ give up the belts
B/ the b side fighters make so much money it warps their risk reward assessments going forwards. So extra kudos to plant and Callum smith for taking tough fights but if Berlanga gets this fight I don't expect to see him active for a long time, same with Munguía who has already shown reluctance to challenge himself.

He reportedly turned down really big money in exchange for fighting Benavidez. So it's not that Canelo will follow the money, at this point it's more accurate to say Canelo will follow the EASY money.
