  • Comments Thread For: George Kambosos Believes He'll Become A Hall Of Fame Lock With A Win Over Lomachenko

The amount of chastisement that's been thrown in the direction of George Kambosos Jr., from his point of view, is a bit unfair. He doesn't need anyone to remind him of what transpired when he fought Devin Haney. Simply put, it wasn't his proudest moment as he lost virtually every second of every round in back-to-back meetings.

A win over Lomachenko would be great but it wouldn't put him in the Hall of Fame. He has three good wins (Teofimo Lopez, Mickey Bey, Lee Selby), two lopsided losses to a great fighter (Devin Haney), and a very questionable win over the average Maxi Hughes.

He's a former unified, lineal lightweight champion of the world. If he beats Lomachenko he'll have a 2nd world title reign. And that's very respectable. Hell, even if he loses it's respectable. But win or lose, nothing Kambosos can do in this one fight makes him a Hall of Famer. He'd need a Lomachenko win and then three or four other really solid wins.

Kambosos is off his rocker, beating Teofimo, and if he can Lomachenko wouldn't be nearly enough to get him into the HOF!
He'd have to beat Lomachenko, Tank, Shakur, Haney, and Matia, to be inducted into the HOF, and we all know that he's not cable of accomplishing that!

Kambosos is a good, solid fighter, but hell naw. He's trippin on this one. He's taken on the best challenges available to him when they're available so he deserves credit for that. Needs a few more big wins before he can even be considered as something close to great.

Hans Themistode writes like A.I. coded by Wilder.

I have seen a lot of strange and demented **** on boxingscene the last decade, from Charlie Z to the more recent guy that got the ET looking Mayweather tattoo, but Themistode’s articles are in a shameful class of their own.

                  100%

You don't have to beat everyone to make the HOF. Crazy talk.

Two world title reigns (kind of). Two massive wins v Lopez and Loma... If he can do it then that's getting pretty close to the mark. But probably one good win away. In particular - he'd need a decent defence of a title.

HOF and Kambosos do not belong in the same sentence...even if he beats Loma. Nice try though.
