  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Haney vs. Garcia: That's the Right Fight for Haney; Right Fight for DAZN

Promoter Eddie Hearn is apparently doing all that he can to get his client-pal Devin Haney a significant fight, despite whatever Oscar De La Hoya may think.

You have to give Ryan credit. He's a soldier and wants to get better and doesn't duck smoke, but one day he will wish he just listened to Oscar...Look at Munguia undefeated with over 40 fights but has never been in danger. Ryan is trying to up his game but for now he is the weakest of the young kings and wouldn't even beat Rolly at this point and Devin will embarrass him.

I personally hate the way Munguia’s career has been managed. Ever since the Ali win he’s always been protected by Golden Boy because they needed another Mexican star since Canelo bounced. Yeah he’s 40-0 but Garcia even with 2 losses against the Top fighters made more $$$ than Munguia will ever make in his whole career and look how many fights it took Garcia to make that $$$z

Garcia vs Rolly was the fight to make but again promoters and networks always put a roadblock in fights. Rolly about to cooked by Pitbull Cruz and Haney about to schooled Garcia for 12 rounds. Golden Boy and PBC really dropped the ball

Garcia's already got the money so he doesnt have the financial issues making him duck challenges. I'm not a fan, but good for him if he wants big fights now. He'll learn quicker getting beat by good fighters than he will ko'ing cans. As he's a money man will always be able to get the rematches later if he needs them anyway. I'd rather see someone take chance and learn the hard way than duck for 10 years while asserting they're the best from outside the ring, like several other 'faces of boxing'.

It was obv Mayweather that talked him out of the Haney fight. fk that guy.

I don't like Haney, but he'll win the fight. Him and Garcia are equally good, but Haney is more athletic and that's how he's going to win

Good for the short term but bad long term. After Ryan and Berlanga lose you can't sell them to the base anymore

It's crazy knowing this fight is four years in the making.

Are you saying you want Garcia to be a coward and a fraud who gets robbery decisions, runs away from those he should fight even though he keeps on saying he'll fight them this year like he's been saying for the past 5 years, fight shot fighters, fight those who are coming off losses, smaller fighters, and inactive fighters to gain an advantage?

Who would want such cowardice? That doesn't benefit boxing or their opponents. It benefits cowards and cowards only. Why would you want this sport turned into a cheat fest for cowards not good enough otherwise just to suit their ego?

The only way a "Fan" would want this is if they're from the same country as the coward themselves. Munguia is a joke to his core. An embarrassment. You're either here to fight and do it properly, or you're here to cheat real fighters because you're not good enough but your ego is so great you want to convince people you are something through nothing but perception.
