Chuvalo's beard was insane. I saw him several years back on one of those home renovations shows. They were doing a kitchen or something at his house in Canada. Flawless speech, sharp as a tack, and not a hint of CTE or whatever, which is amazing considering how many flush shots he took.

Why do people ask how Tank would do against a tough opponent, when they know it's not going to happen? There's a difference between saying you're the best vs actually proving it.

Agreed on the Canelo-Bud breakdown. I’ll be rushing to the casino when those initial odds get made to throw $ on Crawford. If it happens, I’d imagine the Vegas odds will be surprising to most people confidently picking an easy Canelo W. Tank vs Haney is a mythical matchup at this point, amusing & accurate to see Bread acknowledge it as such. While I feel his skills are indisputable, Tank vs elite competition will remain a mythical matchup thanks to the team surrounding him—at age 29 no less. Glad to see Chocolatito get a shout for his infighting, he was the 1st modern fighter that jumped to mind. If you have a working set of eyes & no dog in the fight, he clearly won the 2nd fight vs Estrada. Canelo/Charlo would be an utter waste of time, please god no. However, it always felt inevitable with the WBC’s blatant unwillingness to strip him or acknowledge his unjustifiable inactivity. WBC always knew Mall would be a preferable & easy mark for Canelo, so they buried their heads in the sand for the last 3 years so they can tout it as a WBC champ vs champ fight in May.

Official decisions in boxing are still just opinions, and there’s still frequent disagreement amongst those official opinions.

So it’s a fact that Leonard beat Hagler, sure. It’s also a fact that Ramirez beat Whitaker, that Williams beat Lara, and Park Si Hun beat Roy Jones Jr. That’s not to suggest that the legitimately tight Leonard- Hagler verdict was in any way comparable to those outright robberies, only that those robberies, and many others, emphasise that boxing is all too often a purely opinion based sport and all it takes is for two opinions to match and determine the ‘facts’ regardless of the additional fact that everyone else on the planet could conceivably disagree.

Go back 30 years+ and all the very best fighters had several wins in their careers at least as good as Crawford’s biggest ever win, and many fighters also had clearly bigger wins to boot.

                Standards have declined.

Disagree with Bud vs Nelo, Bud is strong AT 147 but he can't take Nelo's fire at 168. Charlo refused to trade with Nelo once he felt that power and speed, Charlo is also a tough dude with a solid chin and a much thicker man than Bud who started at 135.

Bud doesn't even look quicker than Nelo on tape. I believe Nelo can literally break Bud's arm with a punch. Bud is a midget at 168.

The best fighter.that Bud ever fought are arguably Spence, Gamboa or Porter.

                  Bread is nuts.

Floyd schooled Nelo because he had fought every style and fought Nelo AT the best weight for him 152.

In this case Nelo will be the more experienced fighter fighting and the fighter favoured by the weight.

Canelo should be favored, but only because of his size. There is nothing else in a boxing ring he does better than Crawford. The fight that should be happening is canelo vs Benavidez but if canelo chooses to cower from the fight as it seems he’s doing, and fights a welterweight Crawford instead, I hope Crawford pulls it off. It would be perfect karma for canelo and would significantly damage his legacy for good.
