  • Comments Thread For: Gary Russell Jr. On Chris Colbert Getting KO'd: "He Got His Ass Scorched"

Gary Russell Jr. has never been a fan of Chris Colbert. The Brooklyn native, from his point of view, talks entirely too much trash and seldom backs it up in the ring. After watching Colbert come up woefully short at the hands of Hector Luis Garcia in 2022, Russell wanted to see how he bounced back.

Gary Russell Jr. is on point here, but he left out a few details about the ass kicking he took as well and we have only seen him in corners ever since!

If he didn't have his hand problems which causes him to only take a fight a year he'd of definitely done more.

Colbert is no Lightweight. These current lightweights put on a lot after rehydrating. Rayo, Muratalla, Tank & Shakur have to be in the high 150s maybe low 160s walking into the ring. Colbert needs to move back down.

He didn’t want it enough too, I always felt he could’ve fought in at least a division below. He was what? Like 5”4 with a short reach and slim frame? Yet he was still beating good fighters at 126. He was so f***ing inactive too. That really plagued his career man.
