    Fair play to the IBF! If this had been the WBC, they would probably have allowed it just to get some percentages and just being involved.

      The alphabet belts don't matter. Opetaia is the lineal, Ring Magazine, and TBRB cruiserweight champion of the world.

        Good on the IBF they are making a stand against these corrupt promoters and certain fighters who think they can run the sport. If you not going to respect the rules of the IBF then why fight for their belt. No boxer is bigger than the sport.

                Isn't it true that Breidis is injured and not available to fight? It's not like Opetai is ducking him. Back in the day, fighters would have non-title fights in between title defenses. Who knows when Breidis will be available to fight.

                    On top of that he's active unlike most of today's belt holder's, If he was fighting once a year ok but this seems unnecessary.
                    Saying that though at least 1 belt has rules.
