Jake Paul came in seven-plus pounds heavier Thursday than for any of his first eight professional fights. Paul stepped on the Florida Athletic Commission's scale at a career-high 199.4 pounds for his eight-round cruiserweight fight against Andre August on Friday night in Orlando, Florida. August officially weighed 198.6 pounds.

Jake Paul getting a shot at a cruiserweight title especially with someone like the wbc would not be surprising. Mikaelian is the champion and he'd pole axe Paul but for a few $$$ for all party's involved you could see something like that happening

More likely he'll fight Opetai in Dubai on the Wilder/Joshua undercard.

Na his team know he’s not even at a domestic British level of quality. They wouldn’t let him fight Rahman Jr even though that kid isn’t very good at all (although he was much bigger than Jake).

They’ll likely go for a more obscure claim at a world title like the IBO, lobbying for a vacant shot against a weak, unknown challenger.

This sounds like an obvious route for him. Might be impossible at the moment. The IBO Cruiser Champ is a solid guy at 22-2 who used to be Euro Champ. That's too high risk and zero reward for the Jake Paul / Tommy Fury type. He might try his luck at one of the meaningless "International" titles that the alphabets dole out like candy. The belt looks like the real thing, so his TikTok fans won't know the difference, but the opposition to win those is a much lower standard. Sleazy Suleman will probably find a way to give him some kind of shiny trinket in return for a fat sanctioning fee.

He could get a vacant interim from some stiff the WBC will rank for him then fangle things Mikeljan where maybe he gets step aside money to vacate with an opportunity down the line so Jake gets bumped up to full WBC champion.

Then Jake fights Charr for his regular WBA HW title where Charr takes a dive for Jake Paul to retire two division world champion and boxing HOFer.

It seems Paul going the Fury route; underestimating opponents, lackadaisical approach, & poor training habits and rituals...

26 years old and already getting fat and letting his body go lol.

Safe to say this clown won't be the second coming of B-Hops.

                  Jesus H. Christ.

                  Don't give them ideas.

I just realized that this can literally be a thing.

Why does August look like he was limping all over? The guy seems like he does not even want to be there..maybe he is getting paid to lose ala Charlie Zelenoff
