  • Comments Thread For: Conor McGregor Explains Why He Refuses To Count Ngannou Out in Fury Clash

MMA star Conor McGregor is very interested in Saturday's crossover fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. Back in 2017, McGregor jump-started the crossover market when he made his professional boxing debut against five division world champion Floyd Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Jesus, this event really has been an opportunity for every rent-a-gob to have their say, hasn't it?

We have to remember that mcgregor landed a couple good shots in the first round against the most elusive fighter of a generation and that francis has power in either hand .the first 3 rounds are dangerous for fury despite what almost everyone predicts as a forgone conclusion.

Ngannou could get lucky if he swings for the fences you just never know

He certainly can make it more dramatic than chisora and whyte could.

McGregor was a decent striker, Woodley a decent striker, blah blah. We've already seen how this movie ends.

These fights exist for the hopeful mma fan, the geeked out incels who live in basements, spend all day playing PlayStation, drinking monsters, eating delivery pizza, and talking about “street fights” while cleaning Cheeto crumbs out of their navals

HW is the division where power cancels skill the most so Ngannou might have the best opportunity to pull an upset of these big boxing vs MMA guy fights.

That said with the odds so steered towards a boxer in these matchups even if Ngannou has a ~50% better chance than other MMA guys vs boxers it doesn't equate to a great chance overall.

There are more KOs, KDs, and upset results at HW than anywhere else. Reason being that HWs hit so much harder than anybody else.

The difference between Floyd getting a little careless and taking a flush shot from 160lb McGregor and Fury getting careless against 275lb Ngannou is like the difference between night and day. Having said that, Fury has height and reach advantages over Ngannou, which Floyd didn't have over Conor, so he would need to be downright reckless, rather than just a little careless, to come unstuck.

Well it seems like I was right and you were wrong

It's really idiotic to count out a man with power in both hands and from any angle
