  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Jared Anderson A Work In Progress; Handled Himself Extraordinarily Well Against Martin

From his promoter's perspective, Jared Anderson needed to experience what he went through against Charles Martin. The hard-hitting heavyweight contender had boxed beyond the fourth round only once in his first 14 professional fights and had stopped each of his previous six opponents in three rounds or less. Anderson hadn't gone the distance, either, before Martin took him all 10 rounds July 1 in a main event ESPN televised from Huntington Center in Anderson's hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

I think this fight vs an older Martin who was 37, lost three times already before this fight, and is now ranked #54 at box rec showed us Anderson's limitations and celing.

The man isn't interesting in boxing and speaks the young age of 23 if retirement already. Who does that? Doesn't he realize he is lucky to be the " Great American hope " ?

The American media views him that way.

Jared will be oil on canvas before you know it. His chin is hard to miss.
