  • Comments Thread For: Jared Anderson: I'm Not In This For The Legacy; I'm In This For The Business

By Jake Donovan - Jared Anderson is exactly where he wants to be in his career. In an era where far too many fighters are eager to race to the top, the 23-year-old heavyweight contender is content to box as often as possible and collect the paychecks that come with those assignments. With that request comes his fourth fight in barely eight months, as he faces Ukraine's Andriy Rudenko. Their scheduled ten-round heavyweight clash tops an ESPN-televised doubleheader this Saturday from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Really respect that honesty. If he keeps improving and works on his defense he might be a title contender in a few years. Wonder how much he makes in fights where his opponents are part time boxers there for him to look good? If it is tens of thousands, not a bad gig.

Once he wins a title he will drop it to some youtuber for the right price.

Very few are in it for the legacy. Most men aren't going to put their bodies through hell in the gym if they already have millions.

But the fans that pay to watch boxing care about the best fighting the best and legacy. Not about a fighter’s wallet.

                Seems like competing interests.

This dude becomes more like Aj every day.
He fight's with the sane care free attitude as early Aj against cans & both put money ahead of legacy, before he's even a turn on in the uk he's a turn off already, a c class can like Martin hurt him xD

He's not in it for legacy because he won't go far. He just wants to set himself up for a payday and hand over his cherry. Not the kind of attitude I like in fighters.
