GGG suspected Sanchez of sabotaging him in Mexico. They had an ugly divorce, and Golovkin has never been the same again.

Sanchez coached Golovkin to fight on his best qualities -- super hard punching power, unusual physical strength, relentless pressure, and the ability to take a punch, which pressure fighters have to do. It was a stellar combination of strengths and tactics, such that for much of his career, no A-list fighter would get in the ring with him. As Sanchez put it, "He backs you up to the ropes and makes you think he's going to kill you."

Jonathon Banks tried to turn GGG into something different, something clever and foxy and complex. It never worked. The showcase for the failure was the Murata fight. Murata was actually doing very well in the fight until GGG appears to have gotten ticked off, jettisoned his coaching, and then started aggressively banging Murata until his brain went into orbit. It was a moment of the old Golovkin.

But all that's over now. I think that if GGG were to reconcile with Sanchez for one last hurrah against Ryder, you might see the old Golovkin return and win in violent fashion. But I don't think that's going to happen. GGG has made his fortune, lost the fire and aggression, and is ready to do something else with his life. Zab Judah famously said that Floyd Mayweather "train like he ain't got a dollah." Golovkin looks to be past the point of ever wanting to do that again.

Believe or not but ryder is actually a risky fight for golovkin...I wouldn't be so sure this one taking place ,hell, we dont even know if G is in fact planning a comeback.
