    Former WBC super featherweight champion Alberto Machado was knocked out in yet another weight class Thursday night. Canadian junior welterweight Steve Claggett dropped Machado three times, once in the second round and twice in the third round, before their scheduled 10-round bout was stopped at Casino de Montreal in Montreal. Referee Steve St. Germain officially halted the action at 2:29 of the third round.

          i think it showed a lot about Claggett in the fight as much or as i said a lot of what Clagg is as a fighter. He did not look sloppy in his advance on Macha showed he could get inside and make his time count. Maybe i was a bit fight starved but enyoyed it while it lasted.

              Full confession: I lost five tenners on Machado. Thought he had at least a last good performance in him. Boy, was I wrong...
