  • Comments Thread For: William Zepeda Not Bothered By One Week Delay: We Made Minor Adjustments

By Jake Donovan - William Zepeda is just as ready to fight now as he would have been this time one week ago. A one-week delay in an upcoming fight versus Panama's Jaime Arboleda was of no concern to Mexico's Zepeda, who headlines a DAZN event for the second straight time. Their lightweight clash was previously due to land on the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia superfight last weekend at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas but was pushed back one week when the April 29 DAZN card was in need of a new--and relevant main event.

So Zepeda turned down Shakur Stevenson, and a WBC Eliminator, to fight Arboleda? Really?

Thoughts & Prayers for Vergil Ortiz Jr.! Go to 154! 147 is not for you!

When did Zepeda turn down Shakur? TR doesn't do business outside TR.

Zepeda is still a bit green but he's the dark horse of the LW division in a couple years he'll be ready for anyone at 135.

WBC ordered an eliminator. First was Stevenson vs. Pitbull. Pit bull swerved! Next was Stevenson vs. Zepeda. Zepeda swerved! They kept going until Yoshino accepted! What made it even worse was that Zepeda "WARNED" Shakur that better not mention his name, when the WBC was waiting for Pitbull, then when it came to Zepeda, he went silent! LMAO!!

Zepeda is definitely a player at 135, I want to see him step up soon.

                  Zepeda already stepped up..

he beat up Jojo Diaz in ways Haney was incapable of doing. Thoroughly dominated Jojo, he beats all of these guys at 135.

to set the record straight, Pitbull was already pursuing another route before Shakur called him out on Social media... as for Zepeda he told Shakur and i quote, "don't mention my name send the CONTRACT", in other words don't just move your mouth get a contract set up with your Promoter then we'll dance... just typical BULLSH** from black fans trying to hype up Shakur... Pitbull & Zepeda are not afraid of the "Powerless", Shakur... if you remember, Pitbull should have beaten or at least had a a draw with POWER punching Tank Davis.. and why should Zepeda be afraid of Shakur? he totally outclassed JoJo Diaz while Haney STRUGGLED & was even buzzed twice by JoJo... We ONLY hear about black fighters cause they're from America while fighters from other countries are never heard from or silenced in the American Media... remember this was the same Shakur who was struggling & holding on for dear life against Joet Gonzalez.. one question is when is Haney, Tank or Shakur gonna fight each other it's getting old just listening to them.. but de la hoya wants more exposure for Zepeda to generate more $$.... meanwhile Bob Arum has said NOTHING about making a fight?
Shakur has no Power.. so he's not a threat to any high ranked fighter period. this was the same Shakur who AVOIDED Navaratte years ago, yea he actually did & moved up in rank and never talked about fighting him again
