Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov and Joe Cordina are set for their rescheduled title fight. The roles are swapped from when they were due to meet last fall, with Rakhimov in possession of the IBF junior lightweight title previously held by Cordina. Both boxers made weight for their scheduled 12-round bout atop a DAZN show this Saturday from Cardiff International Arena in Cardiff, Wales. Rakhimov--a Tajikistan native who trains out of Freddie Roach's Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California--was 129.4 pounds (129 pounds, 7 ounces) as he attempts his first title defense. Cardiff's own Cordina was 129 3/4 pounds in his bid to become a two-time IBF titlist.
