Zhilei Zhang is having his moment. The formerly unsung Chinese heavyweight contender delivered the performance of his career last Saturday night at Copper Box Arena in London, forcing a stoppage of Joe "The Juggernaut" Joyce in six rounds. The referee in charge of the contest deemed Joyce's swollen right eye unfit for battle.

Usyk vs Zhang in China would sell great.

If that was true, he wouldn't be fighting on under cards or as B sides at 39 years old despite winning an Olympic medal.

Just because you're from a big population doesn't mean you can draw a big crowd. Boxing doesn't move the needle in China really. Its a vast place with many regions and most sports like boxing there aren't of much priority. Its just the way it goes. India has a huge population too but it doesn't mean Indian boxers bring any revenue. Frank Warren tried it when he signed Singh. He was a medallist too and Frank thought he was going to break into some big Indian market, only to find out there isn't one.

if Zhang was able to bring serious viewership and money to the table, you would know about it well before now.

At some point fury and usy k will get a eureka moment realising beating Zhang means you have a great win on resume. Don't let someone beat you to it.

Zhang is like boxings Kane from the WWF attitude era. The Great Nash loved the way he out Juggernauted the Juggernaut.

Let's be real, Zhang lost to Hrgovic.

Yes, it was a close fight, but Hrgovic did more work and deserved the W.

Zhang had a good win this weekend but Joyce looked terrible.

Joyce seemed to have no power at all this fight. Maybe he used to be a past customer of Conor Benn's egg farm, and Khan's supplier doesn't deliver the good stuff. I think Khan delivers PRD (Performance reducing drugs) Nash out

The fact he’s got the resume in the last 12 months will be the reason he won’t get any call backs for those big fights
Fury hiding from the middleweight and to much risk for Usyk with no damn reward

Zou Shiming statement brought in hundreds of millions of viewers in China.

A Chinese fighter in a heavyweight title fight could potentially do phenomenal numbers.

You don't need a mature boxing market. Casuals wanting to see a bit of history for their country will do enough to pull huge numbers.
