To be fair to Canelo, Benavidez fought once last year, once in 2020, once in 2018. If he has to wait until early next year to fight Canelo, it wouldn't be a complete departure from his usual schedule.

Not sure it’ll happen , I still think Canelo will retire after his 2/3 fight lineup and that would not be a bad thing since we would get the division wide open instead of these fighters putting themselves on hold for a Canelo fight
