Alexis Rocha's close but clear defeat at the hands of Rashidi Ellis in 2020 pushed him down the welterweight ladder. But while his immediate stock had plunged, he slowly but surely steadied the ship. Funny how as soon as Vergil Ortiz Jr. is no longer #1, suddenly the WBO orders Crawford vs. Rocha! Vergil was WBO #1 for over a year!

That's pretty much Crawford's career in a nutshell. Sparring overmatched opponents basically and claiming pound for pound best. I like Crawford and he passes the eye test but man to be in the game this long and your best fight/win remains the ghost of whatever was left of Shawn Porter is just inexcusable. His career is truly subpar and dude is already going on 36. You 've had a chance at Pacquaio and Spence for a marquee fight and neither came off. Something tells me the problem of not landing big fights rests at his feet. Perhaps overinflated self worth or lack of self awareness but I guess he will be HOF.

No it is more than that.
It is a way for Bud to stay busy and pad his bank account while Errol 'the tooth' Spence continues to hold the welter weight division hostage with the belts that he holds for no good reason.
