George "Ferocious" Kambosos Jr. wants to make it clear that he still has plenty of fight left in him. The former unified 135-pound champion suffered a pair of one-sided, unanimous decision defeats to Devin Haney last year. In June, he lost his titles, and in October, failed to win them back in a rematch.

Haney, Mayweather, Shakur, Pernell, Macho Camacho, etc. are always hard to beat because of their defensive styles. A puncher needs to get set but slick boxers don't let them. Styles make fights. That's why Haney beat Kambosos 2x. Even Roberto Duran had trouble with runners & slick boxers.

He doesn't come in conversation when people are matching fighters, he has been forgotten already. Surely he will get another shot at the 135 title once Haney vacates or gets beaten.

He said he would retire if he lost again to con the Australian public into watching that second fight with Haney lol

Mofos are so quick to write fighters off after losses.

To this day I am still astounded at all of the delays at making Teo/Kambosos, and just as amazed at the outcome. I picked the winner of that one incorrectly. Credit to Kambosos. Credit again to Kambosos for taking on Haney, and credit to Haney thereafter for the quick rematch he gave to Kambosos. That's the sort of mustard we saw in the past, but not much these days. Josh Taylor would do well to have taken note.

Think that Kambosos is still in the mix, however not sure he would be the favorite against a particular fighter, after all his latest three biggest victories were by the way of Split decision and one against Teofimo suffering from an illness called pneumomediastinum.

Currently the top excluding Haney would be Cruz, Martin, Zepeda, Shakur, Lomachenko, Tank, Yoshino, and De Los Santos with Muratalla rising through the ranks.

closest 50/50 fight would probably be Gustavo Lemos.

Kambo would be a good step up for Keyshawn Davis, or Ray Muratalla!
