  • Comments Thread For: Mark Magsayo Comes In Overweight, Makes Weight on Second Attempt For Figueroa

ONTARIO, California - After spending most of his career in the 122-pound division, Brandon Figueroa feels completely comfortable fighting at the featherweight limit of 126 pounds. Mark Magsayo apparently doesn't feel quite the same way. Magsayo, a former WBC featherweight champion, came in overweight Friday for their 12-round, 126-pound bout for the WBC interim championship Saturday night.

Not that bad, surely he can lose it. Still should be a great fight. I wonder though if he's drained himself too much.

Mark looked a bit emaciated compared to his other weigh ins, might be time for him to move up to 130.

Whether he wins or loses, wouldn't mind watching Magsayo vs Santa Cruz.

Both looked terrible at the weigh in, hopefully Mark comes back on weight and we have a good title fight. I got Figueroa by mid-late round body shot KO.

.8 lbs is not that much but still , if this becomes a battle ao attrition he could be in trouble.Figueroa brings a ton of pressure , should be a scrap.

Magsayo fades in the later rounds, but Figueroa's style is a good style match up for him. Should be fun scrap.

Magsayo runs out of ideas fast and he has no plan B. He has been running on youthful energy but Figueroa is going to exploit his weaknesses.
