  • Comments Thread For: Conor Benn Reacts To WBC Decision, Explains Frustration With Aftermath

Conor Benn has released a statement in response to the World Boxing Council verdict on his failed doping tests. The undefeated welterweight highlighted 'serious and troubling' issues with the testing process, despite the sanctioning body clearing him of knowingly ingesting a banned substance.

Why did he fail two tests then if the eggs weren’t guilty?

Is Benn saying it’s the testing process that was at fault?

Benn's brain has been fried and scrambled over all of these egg jokes, he's gotta explain this another way, and he swears that this is eggsactly what happened.

He's saying the tests were clear three times but were retested 9 days later and then found positive.

When Benn requested the B sample be tested with his own scientist present he was not allowed to be in the same room.

The very fact that the WBC jumped to the 'excessive consumption of eggs' excuse without Benn even saying that, suggests that they may be covering up for VADA shenanigans.

        It's big, if true.

          That's not the whole statement.
Would expect you to publish everything. Why only parts?

It's a corrupt sport. Such a simple case of mere forensic investigation, yet there's still no conclusive outcome. How many years do these people need to come up with a result? It should only take a week or two.

I'm not buying what Benn's selling because two separate failed tests at different periods doesn't seem like an accident. Benn's just fortunate the boxing landscape changes quickly because eventually people will move on especially if he picks up a marquee win.
The WBC and British boxing board of control continue to show their ineptitude or blatant disregard for handling banned substances within boxing.
All round it's a circus befitting of a sport where integrity, dignity, and ethics are bottom of the ladder.

Or maybe Benn’s just trying to exploit legal loopholes because he got caught, TWICE.

Whichever way he wants to spin it, some of the most respected scientists in the world found Clomiphene in his system, TWICE.

PED’s can be flushed out of your system within hours, so what exactly do tests 9 days ago prove?

I think it’s hilarious when athletes protest their innocence based on other tests returning negative. How many drug tests did Lance Armstrong pass again? That’s right f***ing hundreds.

Have you even read Benn's statement in full? Cuz the upper article contains only parts of it.
btw, what "legal loopholes" is he trying to "exploit"?
