  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: 168 Not Canelo's Requirement For Bivol Rematch; Bivol Has Asked To Look Into It

NEW YORK - Dmitry Bivol isn't obligated to fight Canelo Alvarez again in the light heavyweight division, let alone at the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds. Alvarez nevertheless hopes Bivol is open to moving down from the light heavyweight maximum of 175 pounds to 168,

Drained UDvol vs Canelo would be decent close fight at 168 with lots of drama and excitement. First fight was boring asf.

Bivol wants it at 168 because that would make him unified champion in two weight classes.

He’d be undisputed at 168 with a chance to be undisputed at 175 if Arum stops blocking the Beterbiev fight.

End of the day also Canelo tried 175 and failed. Bivol has always said he could make 168. So now do 168 to be fair.

Bivol should pull clenelos punk card and make him come up to 175 and see how bad he really wants the rematch.

It is irrelevant who asked for the fight at 168 pounds.

Canelo Alvarez if he is a fighters fighter, will understand that he needs to rematch and beat Bivol at 175 pounds.

Apparently Eubank Junior was fine with fighting Benn at 157 pounds, and with a catch weight.

But many currently active fighters, and retired fighters knew? That the fight requirements were ridiculous for Eubank Junior.

Alvarez vs Bivol at 168 pounds, is a devalued fight. 7 pounds, is a mass amount of weight to drop. And these are fighters already in peak condition.

Just because Fast Eddie says it, doesn't make it true. He talks out of his ass to steer the narrative of whatever benefits him most all the time. For instance, if Bivol wants to fight again before September, why is Hearn not trying his best for Beterbiev?

Its simple, so that he can get the pay and publicity for putting Smith, a Matchroom fighter against Beterbiev, while putting Bivol and Buatsi, fighters he would get paid from on both sides plus the publicity, then Cinnabon and Bivol, again getting paid and publicity from both sides, while Beterbiev is continuing to age before the fight that he and Bivol want most. Eddie is taking care of Eddie, and whatever move or weight that happens will be most beneficial to him.
