  • Comments Thread For: Broner Seeks New Opponent For Feb. 25 BLK Prime Event; Redkach Out Due To Promotional Dispute

Adrien Broner will likely need a new opponent for his next fight. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Ivan Redkach will not move forward--against his will--with plans to face the former four-division champion. The two were due to meet February 25 atop a BLK Prime Pay-Per-View event from Gateway Park Arena in the College Park section of Atlanta, Georgia.

Bud might as well take it sadly. Same crappy promotional outfit and he’s already burned bridges with Haymon and Arum so little marquee opponents right now.

Hate to see greedy promoters get in the way of a fighter making a living. If you’re not providing fights opportunities and the fighter go get a fight on his own, just take the 20% of the purse you’re due, and let him fight. That’s literally free $$ since he did nothing to put the fight together.

Broner will look for another non threatening opponent to face - one with no power and on an obvious decline. He'll avoid legitimate talents with power. He knows that the next time he steps in the ring with a legitimate boxer with power that his career will be over.

Yet you sit there in obscurity, presumably having never boxed at anywhere near the competition level of broner. It's easy to talk rubbish when you haven't been in there with a monster like maidana. I have respect for broner in the ring, outside of it not so much. but I won't sit here and hate. That's a coward move

Broner needs to fight and get in weight because he will be Bud's next opponent.
