  • Comments Thread For: Jonnie Rice Stops Guido Vianello In 7th Round Due To Nasty Gash Over His Left Eye

Jonnie Rice knocked off another undefeated prospect Saturday night. The veteran heavyweight stopped Guido Vianello because of a cut above Vianello's left eye in the seventh round of a co-feature ESPN televised from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. A ringside physician determined during a break 42 seconds into the seventh round that a bloodied Vianello shouldn't continue.

Very disappointed in Estevez. He tried very hard to rob Rice blind. He really tried to protect the favourite

Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it, Estevez said he didn't see a punch, that he saw a head but.
Where, and when did you see a head but (there wasn't one in the whole fight), you lying low down corrupt bastared.
I'm glad that the commission embarrassed him on the spot, by telling him that he saw a punch land, not a head but.
He must've known right their, and then that if he didn't render the right decision that, he'd be placed under investigation.
Anyway it was a great technical decision win for the perennial trial horse Jonathan Rice, who earned it with his mighty right hand.

I generally like Estevez, but when he called it a head butt, I was calling him a butt head. I'm glad the commission did the right thing for once.

Ricearoni does it again. He’s turned into a good gatekeeper. Moving along side Wach, Hammer, Kiladze & Forrest…

Playing the law of averages. Usually a cut like that IS a headbutt.

Clearly Esteves was on the Top Rank Take. I was mostly disappointed in Bradley and Ward for not going full Teddy Atlas on Esteves and Co. You KNOW Teddy would've freaked out and they should've too. They were disgusted but didn't do ****. Thanks to the one Native American man commission guy who took care of biz. #iloveboxingbutboxingdontloveus
