  • Comments Thread For: Edgar Berlanga: Suspension Over, The F------' Chosen One Is Back

Edgar Berlanga plans to return with a vengeance. The unbeaten Nuyorican has officially completed his six-month suspension as issued by the New York State Athletic Commission and is free to resume his career. The timing obviously doesn't leave room for another fight in 2022, though he is making a hit list for his 2023 campaign--including those who continue to doubt his star potential.

Please don't. "So Cold" knocks Bumbanga out cold inside 8.

No, Bumbanga needs, as Keef would say, a "get back". Soft touch he can spark and reconvince his fans.

Like most of those hyped power punchers once they face someone decent they get exposed. He is a pro already with 20 fights and still has a lot to learn. He should follow the path of Munguia and amass a meaningless record while learning on the job.

Bumlanga thinks he’s better than what he actually is. Keeps thinking he’s a “celebrity”

Here's a hit list for Berlanga in 2023, 1. Gabriel Rosado, 2. Shane Mosley Jr, 3. Daniel Jacobs, 4. Steve Nelson, (Progression Fight's).
If he get's past those four then in 2024, 5. Diego Pacheco, 6. Saul Alvarez, 7. David Morrell Jr, 8. David Benavidez, (The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse)!
Those eight fight's would either make him, or break him, but if he can beat six of them, he'll have earned the respect of some of his detractor's.
If he can beat all eight (which is highly improbable), well then that changes the equation completely, let's see how the next two year's play out.
I'm not saying that he can beat all of the eight fighter's mentioned above, what I'm saying is that those are the fighter's he should be fighting going forward.

Yep. And he needs to not let the idea that going the distance is a bad thing. Just focus on the fight and the win and not the knockout.
