There's a big risk of cuts - almost a certainty - in bare knuckle fighting. So, that could be a real problem. It's a good thing he has the boxing match scheduled first and not second.
Trout won't do well in BK all of the top guys are former MMA guys because they allow "dirty" clinching aka holding/pulling down heads and wailing away on your opponent.

This is mostly because they can get much better MMA guys than they can boxers, because good boxers can generally still get paid much more to box.
On the boxing side, Dat Nguyen (who boxed at 126 mostly and sometimes 130) completely cleaned out the BKFC 135 division and won the title, then moved up two more divisions to 155 and got absolutely ROBBED in a title fight against Luis Palomino. He was in a pay dispute with the promotion, so you know how that goes.

Dat nguyen is a freak athlete you can't compare him to Trout, he's done all sorts NFL linebacker , a bit of boxing and BK and most likely more than that... also he can crack unlike Trout.
