    According to information circulated by World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, former world champion Moises Fuentes, 37-years-old, passed away on Thursday morning - more than a year after being hospitalized for a brain injury.

                  May God comfort his wife and family left behind, and may Moises enter eternal heaven.

                  Another reminder of how brutal and dangerous this sport is, while we comment on fighters here, and sometimes criticise them.

                  I didn't follow Fuentes career, but it appears that since he suffered two bad knockout defeats before the last tragic bout, and the layoff, that this could've been avoided. The comeback fight shouldn't have happened.
