  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Whyte-Franklin Winner Frontrunner For Joshua In March; Wilder, Wallin, Hrgovic Also Options

Hrgovic is interesting as he's now the IBF mandatory but I think if Joshua fights him it'll be only if he's the champ so probably not until 2024.

No the rest of those guys are not options, the next fight will be against Whyte.

And no the fight against Wilder will not happen in 2023. Wilder, last I checked, is an Al Haymon guy, and damn near blew a guy’s head off his last time out. That fight is all wrong for AJ both for risk and PPV rights.

      Hearn knows all these things.

I agree that the fight is wrong for AJ because he'll be brutally knocked within seven or eight rounds. At the same time, I believe it would do fairly well as a PPV as it is a fight many have hoped to see for several years. The three best fights for Joshua moneywise are against either Fury, Wilder or Joyce.

Joshua looks and sounds lost , he should take control of his boxing career and stop playing the businessman .He is rich beyond anyones dreams and this business side is obviously in conflict with his hopes and dreams in the ring. Joshua needs a rest and this has been stated by himself without Hearn telling even more lies about why he didn't take the Tyson fight. It's understandable but the snake Hearn makes things look bad for Joshua himself. He will fight Whyte should Whyte beat this guy with no name on his record but lets take this as a warm up for Joshua who has already done away with Whytes weak challenge already.Joshua will NOT be fighting any of the top guys any time soon ....prepare yourself's for this until he has no where left to go!

He casually throws in Wilder. Yeah, right.

It's okay Eddie, you don't have to pretend.

We know your plan is to age Wilder until he's 40 years old.

Sheesh aj losing those titles really got him messed up. Like losing a custody battle with your ex wife over the kids. Those kids staying with your ex for good buddy give it up.

Joshua can do what he wants. He is still a name, and will still sell tickets and push the viewing audience.

But if he fights White/Franklin, Wallin, or someone like Ortiz or Parker, then he is signaling he is fine with coasting for a while on his name and not chasing the Titles. Hrgovic, Joyce, or even Dubois will signal he is serious about earning a shot to get those titles back.

You say that like Joshua has been avoiding him for a decade. Wilder was in his mid 30s before he even took on a legitimate opponent.
