  • Comments Thread For: Egidijus Kavaliauskas Has High Praise For Vergil Ortiz: "He Would Beat Crawford"

At the age of 34, Egidijus Kavaliauskas is desperate for one final crack on the world stage. Having sat sequestered on the sidelines for well over a year, the former Olympian returned to the ring earlier this month against Mykal Fox. Though he found himself at an incredible physical disadvantage, including a 10-inch reach deficit, Kavaliauskas mauled his man, dropping him twice in the third round before cruising to a lopsided unanimous decision victory.

How much do you want to bet the Kavaliauskas saying this is because of Crawford's recent ducking?

Because i seem to recall this same Kavaliauskas a month or so ago saying that Crawford would beat Ortiz even though it would be a tough fight?

This the way fighters go to market these days, take the least resistance of a fight while making big money. It’s like, if you were paid the same amount of money to hike 25 miles and had the choice of shoes to wear, which type do you pick, comfortable hiking shoes or dress shoes a size too small???

I don't give a fluck about that, duckford don't like fighting anyone that can give him a 50/50 fight, his record so far proves it, he is an excellent fight doe, but he has a cultural inferiority complex

Bud will fight Avenesyan and Errol will fight Stanionis. Meanwhile Ennis who would destroy them all is left to rot. It's run like a cartel.

How does Crawford get to skip his mandatory and choose a fighter at the bottom of the list but Spence has to fight Stanionis or Ennis?
Spence did the most work to set up Spence-Crawford. Crawford is holding that belt hostage.

Doesn't matter what he or any of us think. We're never going to find out. This going back and forth about who will beat who is pointless and wasted time. The fights that are offered fail to capture the imagination and pocketbooks of fans. Offer compelling matchups and fans will pay the ppv prices. Offer up the same ol drivel and we will continue to stream to get our fix. But don't expect us to pay just to see a guy fight a predetermined outcome fight. If a fight the magnitude of Crawford Spence can't be made for the sake of boxing, what is the point of following the sport.

If Ortiz carry’s an elite chin… no one beats him and that’s including boots… he would stop them all. Big if though…

There is a reason why Vergil Ortiz has petitioned the WBA to enforce a mandatory opportunity for the 'Regular' WBA welterweight champion, Eimantas Stanionis. Oscar De La Coca, knows that he can milk this kid like Rihanna Garcia, and wait-out TBC to get older or leave 147. Now that Terence Crawford is free from Toprank, there is no excuse to keep ducking him.

Egidijus Kavaliauskas don't know sht, 'Bud' would beat Vergil black and blue and put his boot up Ortiz ass, like he did Kavaliauskas.
