  • Comments Thread For: Elvis Garcia Unhappy With Scores, Wants Moses Johnson Rematch

Bally's Atlantic City Casino & Resort - Two undefeated and heavy-handed heavyweights put it all on the line, but it was Moses "Thunderhands" Johnson (9-0-1, 7 KOs) who prevailed over Mexico's Elvis Garcia (12-1, 9 KOs) in an all-action, entertaining affair that was up for grabs until the final bell. Johnson won via majority decision with scores of 76-76 and 77-75 twice.

I’m really upset with the scoring,” said Garcia. “I thought I did a lot more. The only thing he was doing was sitting on top of me & putting his weight on me and trying to keep me from moving. I hurt him a lot more"...... of course, Johnson is your typical black fighter doing anything but put in work. just trying to wing it & get judges help. pathetic

Good, entertaining scrap. Garcia had better skills and could fight from angles at times but seemed to prefer to just throw bombs with Johnson.

It was close, could have gone either way. Both could work on their conditioning a bit.

Very entertaining fight and close but Garcia won that fight. Johnson got help from the judges. Garcia walked Johnson to the ropes repeatedly and then Johnson would use his weight and wrestling Garcia around.
Garcia moves for a big guy.
