Janibek Alimkhanuly ditched his traditional clothing on September 17th, in favor of rocking Gennadiy Golovkin's gear. On the night, the current unified middleweight champion competed for the first time in his career at the 168-pound limit against Canelo Alvarez.

    New payday chaser unlocked: Janibek

Btw he doesn't need to be prime to beat you. He just beat your elder sister with one hand.

Boxing would be so much better if the younger, unaccomplished guys fought each other and earned stripes to fight the more established guys that could bring big paydays to them. Instead they fight the Denzel Bentleys of the world and say the top dogs are afraid of them.

janibek should focus on the guys on his level and make his own name. But that’s honestly not how boxing works anymore.

Stay in your lane, taxi driver. Get a couple of top 5 wins and then, may be then Canelo would look at you

It's always telling when a fighter admits he's going after someone because they're not at their best. The term for this is Vulture. Anthony Joshua, Floyd Mayweather, Gervonta Davis are all the biggest examples of modern day Vultures. Deontay Wilder is also a Vulture but he is a special case because he was devoured by the corpse of Tyson Fury who was inactive for years and had just lost 100lbs.

He might not be at his best anymore, but it's still enough to beat your ass.

Nobody in the world is asking for that fight aside from Janibek.

they are all legit until they fight somebody who is really legit. Janibek couldn't beat GGG let alone Canelo.

Why, as a fighter, would you call out another fighter because they’re not at their best anymore?

I mean it HAPPENS. Fighters chase older, popular fighters because they want that money and add the aging, past prime fighter to their resume.

But good lord, you don’t admit that. Especially as a young fighter with no names on your resume yet. Just keep it at “I want to fight Canelo because he’s the best fighter from 160-168.”
