  • Comments Thread For: Usyk Open to Joshua Trilogy If Fury Fight Fails to Get Made; Suggests Kiev as Destination

Oleksandr Usyk may have an interesting, if tad redundant, contingency plan in place if a fight with Tyson Fury fails to get off the ground. Usyk, the WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion, said in a recent interview that he would be receptive to the

How does a 3rd fight make any money? Nobody cares to see it.

It will make money as Hearn will sell it as 'the final throw' or something daft and sells it that Joshua is now improved and the 'work in progress' is now complete ,as has been the story of Joshua's whole career... 'a work in progress' ... There's much better fights out there. Usyk knows he beats Joshua , that's why.

Usyk looking for ways out of a Fury fight already.

he was giving it big licks right after the fight with AJ by calling out Fury

Fury offered him to fight december and suddenly he’s injured etc etc. now he’s talking about other fights instead, even though he said he has no interest in fighting anyone but Fury

Fury has made it very clear he will fight in December then Usyk early next year if Usyk can’t do December. Usyk is supposedly injured so he doesn’t need to be talking about other fights, he can heal and fight Fury next year.

              Can’t see it happening soon

Eddie and DAZN are only interested in giving Joshua a few warmup fights before throwing him back in. They don’t wanna start off the DAZN by getting him beat straight away. That’s why they’ve had the contract for the Fury fight for nearly 2 weeks now and haven’t signed it.

I don’t blame them though, It’s actually a smart move if they’re thinking about rebuilding him

It would be a big mistake for AJ to take this fight - he needs to fight Fury (if Fury mans up) and if he wins that - then fight Usyk again with a belt.

I remember the 3rd Wilder fight everyone said it was a waste of time and that Fury would win it without breaking sweat but it was a close fight for a while. I don't see that happening here. At best AJ would just do a bit better against Usyk. At worst he could get stopped trying something new. He needs to move on.
