The unbeaten welterweight contender now aims for those worlds to collide. A petition has been filed with the WBA by Ortiz, who seeks to have his mandatory challenger title status enforced in a

Unless Boots is fighting Thurman, then I want Boots vs. Stanionis! Wouldn't mind seeing Ortiz fight Thurman or Ugas!

The young guns are a bit frozen for a title shot in the near future and they might have to fight amongst themselves. Those three are ready for a title shot.

This fight not happening next, Stannois is fighting Cody Crowley in the co-main for Spence-Crawford & is the Plan B option @ 147 for Spence if the Crawford fight doesn't happen.

I'll assume you're not joking and leave this here. Avenysian has been going backwards recently, his last couple of opponents have been awful (if you check boxrec), and he's supposed to be defending his EBU title next time out. Who knows why he signed with Queensbury if he wanted to fight decent Welterweights.

I'd prefer if he was pursuing Spence but this is potentially a very good fight, Stanionis might have the best win - in Butaev - out of all the upcoming Welterweights (and with the least no. Of fights). Ortiz's win over Kavaliuaskas is also very good.

And Boots is behind despite having the most fights (out of the group coming up), but he actually has more fights than Spence.
