  • Comments Thread For: Zurdo Ramirez: Expectation Is To Win All The Titles; Bivol First, Then Beterbiev To Become Undisputed

Gilberto Ramirez is confident of becoming undisputed light heavyweight champion within his next two or three fights. The Mexican southpaw--aptly better known as 'Zurdo'--is scheduled to face reigning WBA light heavyweight titlist Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11KOs) on November 5. With a win, the plan would be to immediately explore an undisputed showdown with Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18KOs), the true lineal champ and unified WBC/IBF/WBO titlist.

He won't let it happen, just like he never did business again with Mikey Garcia.

Mickey Garcia was an ungrateful diva. Dude straight up ducked Gamboa waited his contract out and trashed Arum any chance he got to get cucked by haymon. Zurdo didn't go the same route and trashed Arum so there might be a chance it could work out.

Zurdo has a legit chance to beat Bivol but Beterbiev ain't losing until he gets old...... Or somebody clips him somehow lol

Zurdo beats both.. too big and skilled for both.. Beterbiev chin is suspect as well.

Constantly people dismiss Ramirez. His style will be tuff for both, he's a lefty, (if you ever fought a lefty you would know they are a nightmare to fight) he's really big, and throws lots of punches, not to mention a good chin. Put those things together and he will be a handful for anyone, styles makes fights and he's going to give Bivol issues, Bivol is a good boxer but his lack of power is going to be a problem when he realizes that his power won't be enough to keep Zurdo off him, not to mention that Bivol is used to fighting at a certain pace and Zurdo style will force him to throw more punches than he's used to. I would still favor Bivol 55-45, but it would not surprise me at all if Ramirez beats him, IMO Beterbiev is more Dangerous for Ramirez because of his power, I just think on November 5, a ton of people are in for a surprise....

I don`t see a way how he beats Bivol or Beterbiev. Ramirez style is to walk the opponent down with constantly pressure, similar to what Canelo does usually. He will be clearly outboxed by Bivol. He has not the Boxing skills that Bivol has. Against Beterbiev he will for sure walk in some big punches and get stoped early. Look at the Smith Jr. fight, a guy with dynamite in his hands and a pressure fighter. When he gets a feeling of a punch coming back at light heavyweight by Beterbiev, it is going to be a short fight.

                  with best regards from Germany

                    Zurdo won't beat either

he should have challenged Joe Smith when he was champ, that was his best chance to win a title. now it's gone
