What a clown, probably couldn't make weight. Hopefully Showtime never books him again, then again they have fallen so far they would more than likely book him next week if he wanted to fight. -

Well at least both fighters are fighting in their actual weight class, I hope Omar Figueroa is alright considering the consecutive losses at welterweight against Yordenis Ugas and Abel Ramos.
He has more of the right to withdraw than Broner if you consider the horrible beating Abel Ramos gave him until he puked blood and becoming an alcoholic. Too bad though knowing PBC they are going to try to make him fight Jaron Ennis in case he manages to beat Lipinets in impressive fashion.

Figueroa will take another L. Better fight than Broner.

It sounds like they were half expecting this and made sure they had a backup option.
Figueroa was the opponent here - it's rare to see promoters make the effort to secure a replacement opponent in this kind of situation.
