  • Comments Thread For: Olympic Silver Medalist Duke Ragan Overcomes Stiff Test, Outpoints D'Angelo Fuentes

Duke Ragan was met with adversity for the first time as a pro after having never previously lost a round. The unbeaten featherweight--who claimed an Olympic silver medal for the U.S. last summer in Tokyo--overcame a rocky moment in the second round to outpoint D'Angelo Fuentes in their battle of undefeated prospects. Judges Max Deluca (58-56), Chris Migliore (58-56) and David Sutherland (59-55) all ruled in favor of Cincinnati's Ragan (7-0, 1KO) in their ESPN+ streamed bout Saturday evening at Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas.

I don't like the way some of these America Prospects are Developing, at this stage you need to be destroying everything they put in front of you not on the backfoot and looking for and being OK with UD's

Far too many young fighters fighting like the Older Brittle Hands Money Mayweather instead of Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather

Keyshawn Davis is slick and responsible defensively but he comes forward, I want to see younger up and coming fighters fight more like that

Kay Koroma coaches too much in the amateur style in my opinion.

True. Even Pernell Witaker was walking guys down and stopping them early in his career. Actually he would do that many times throughout his career.
