  • Comments Thread For: Blair Cobbs Scores Three Knockdowns, Outpoints Maurice Hooker Over Ten Rounds

Blair Cobbs toned down his act and delivered his best win to date. The Philadelphia-born, Hollywood-based prospect rebounded from the worst fight of his career with a ten-round, unanimous decision win over Maurice Hooker. Scores were 97-90, 97-90 and 96-91 in favor of Cobbs, who scored three knockdowns en route to the upset victory in their DAZN-televised welterweight battle Saturday evening at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Easy, Hooker isn't good at all at 147. Rocha is scrappy and put up a good fight vs Speedy but Hooker hasn't done anything since 140.

You place too much faith in a supposed slickness. Hooker is getting KOd and you think he has style?

Seeing that Cobbs dropped Roach - there's one reason.

          Roach sucks as a trainer.

Cobbs look like he shed some of that bulk he was carrying around he's built more like a pro boxer now. As for Hooker those losses and the weight have done something to him, dude looked like a shell of his former self..

Good to see Blair "The Flair" bounce back. Shows he took the loss as a learning experience. I think a disciplined flair beats Rocha easy in a rematch.

I thought this was a good matchup for Cobbs. Hooker hasn't really done anything at welterweight and had been KO'd in 2 of his last 3. There's a reason why Hearn wanted Hooker for Benn.

Hooker looked out of physical shape and mentally checked out (probably due in some part to the loss of Stacy Snyder). Cobbs looked dialed in and showed some new wrinkles to his game.

In the short career that Blair Cobbs will have due to his age, I wonder who he can fight.
