Isaac Dogboe needed a second try Friday to make weight for a fight he hopes earns him a third shot at Emmanuel Navarrete. Once Dogboe removed his socks, he officially weighed in at 125.8 pounds for his 12-round, 126-pound fight against Joet Gonzalez on Saturday night in Hinckley, Minnesota. Gonzalez weighed 125.6 pounds on his first attempt for a main event ESPN+ will stream from Grand Casino Hinckley.

Issac is glutton for punishment why on earth would you want a third fight go after another title.

African warrior, you can't blame the guy for wanting to work his way back up to fight the only guy who beat him it's a pride thing. I don't think he would ever beat Navarrette but kudos to him for at least wanting it, most fighters these days won't even take on a dangerous fighter once let alone 3 times.

I like Dogboe's zeal and determination but the smartest move was to stay at Super Bantamweight and annex the title after Navarette had moved to featherweight. Moving to featherweight to fight Navarette is unnecessary.
