It's about time that Puerto Rico has gotten back to staging boxing matches again on the island, their boxers need this support system.
The island has experienced one natural disaster after another the Covid-19 epidemic, Hurricane Maria, and multiple earth quakes.
My heart bleeds for them, for all of the death, devastation, suffering, and plain old misery that they've had to endure through.
They have shown themselves to be a resilient people, and will continue to push through, rebuild, and survive, just like their boxers do.
I'm looking forward to them staging boxing events on a regular basis, so that their boxing prospect's have a chance to grow, and develop.
This boxing card is a start with fighters who are just beginning their professional career's, a contender, and a former champion.
A tall salute to Miguel Cotto Promotions who has aligned with H2 Entertainment to make this event possible in Puerto Rico, and he's also aligned himself with ProBoxing out of Florida to stage fights over there.
This will give more Puerto Rican fighters exposure, and opportunities to fight for regional, and world titles within the sport of boxing.
If they can fight for world championships in boxing, they can win them just like the 68 champions before them..
