I am sure Haymon can get his friends at the WBA to get you a trinket so you win it vs a washed up fighter or another Salka type.

lol beating Amir Khan does not get you into the hall of fame. Losing to every top fighter of your era also does not get you into the hall of fame. Moving up to a bigger weight class and being undersized is not going to get him any closer. His power was overrated in the lower weights, he knocked out bums like Amir Khan that have their chin up in the air to be hit by blind left hooks.

Yup, vacant regular title coming up

Fair play to Danny for wanting to step up though

It depends on who he steps up against, is he gonna go against the best of the division or is he gonna pick the bones of guys who best days past or are they gonna line up the Salka's of the 154LB division?

Ike Quartey lost to the top fighters of his era - he's in the Hall of Fame.

Manny Pacquiao lost to the best of his era AND a select few other top guys. He's in it.

We need to get realistic on the criteria. It's not about wins and losses. It's about what you left in the ring en route to your retirement.

Thus why someone like Sven Ottke (undefeated) isn't in but Manny Pacquiao (multiple losses) is.

Danny Swift made history when he beat Khan. That cannot be taken from him.

Whether he'll succeed at 154 is a different story - but the guy at least is a warrior.
