  • Comments Thread For: Tim Tszyu Warns Jermell Charlo: This is My Zab Judah Moment!

Australian star Tim Tszyu is looking to replicate what his famous father, Kostya Tszyu, pulled off 21-years-ago. Kostya Tszyu, who was deemed as the underdog, became the undisputed champion at junior welterweight when he stopped Zab Judah in two rounds at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I still remember that fight like it was yesterday. Absolutely no one expected that outcome although I did think that Judah was a knockout waiting to happen just didn't think it would happen in his prime

More like a Conlan moment for Tszyu. Running his mouth just like Lubin and I believe Lubin is a better fighter than him.

Tim, leading up to that moment your dad had won an Olympic Gold Medal & followed with a series of stoppage victories over, among others, Miguel Gonzalez, Rafael Ruelas, Sharmba Mitchell & (an admittedly faded) Julio Cesar Chavez. You've beaten Terrell Gausha &..... a lot of record fodder. Not exactly the same, is it?

Tim Tszyu has exactly the same quality I am finding so infuriating in Conor Benn. There is no innate 'champion' quality in your genes. You need to work for it. I would argue, to anyone, that Joe Frazier was an ATG above Kostya Tszyu &, certainly, far above Nigel Benn. Marvis tried. Got found out at a certain level. There is no shame in that. Marvis was a brave man, I'm sure Tim & Conor are also, but your dad being an ATG doesn't prove NOTHING

I picked Tszyu too. Judah was taking a lot of sh** in the build up, was a feel good moment when Tszyu made him do the funky chicken.
