Barclays Center, Brooklyn - Jesus "Mono" Ramos (19-0, 15 KOs) earn a unanimous decision over rugged battler Luke Santamaria (13-3-1, 7 KOs) by scores of 98-92 and 97-93 twice in their 10-round super welterweight attraction.

Good learning experience for the young Ramos. He showed some limitations with the inability to cut off the ring and he wasn't able to land alot (slow hands, bad timing and position). Santamaria was fighting above his normal weight, still won some rounds, but he just didn't have the power to blunt the assault by Ramos (who is big for 154)

Ramos will need to continue to improve his craft or he will run into problems with the next levels of opposition.

Another delusional clown…you sign to fight a welterweight when you’re actually a super middleweight and on top of that get swelled over both eyes and have the nerve to say it takes two to tangle??????….if they were physically even Ramos would’ve been ktfo….smfh

Not really the words you wanna hear from a young prospect but actually the words that you would expect from a young prospect who believes he's gonna stop everyone he faces - even veteran fighters use this excuse when they couldn't have their way with a mover by the way. This was a valuable learning experience for Ramos, one he needed at this stage of his career, and I would say he should have two or three more fights at this level.

I really liked how Santamaria fought in there against a much bigger man. He may have a real future as a welterweight and at 24 has time to get better.

all of a sudden mexicans are "weight bullies"... forgetting tank was a JUNIOR-WELTERWEIGHT when he layed out santa cruz.. speaking of weight bullies. spence came down from 154 to 147... Haney was 155 when he fought JoJo Diaz & your personal hero Shakur Stevenson was 150(an overblown junior-welter) when he beat LITTLE Oscar Valdez... next time you open your mouth about weight-bullies make it all inclusive, that includes the cheating bruthas. it does take 2 to tangle, something tank david forgot ever since he stepped up the competition.

you are reading way too far into his comment and showing some insane bias/prejudice. he didn't say anything about Mexicans or any racial or nationalist-type sentiments. You brought that all up for whatever reason...

Look at them in the ring together. Santamaria is a welterweight at most and Ramos looked like a middleweight at least... Not to mention they are both AMERICAN.
