  • Comments Thread For: Trainer on Kovalev's Cruiserweight Debut: He Was 206, That's a Lot of Weight To Be Carrying

It's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't when it comes to Sergey Kovalev and his weight-making travails. Earlier this month, the former longtime Russian light heavyweight titlist made his debut at the cruiserweight limit (200lbs) against Tervel Pulev at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California in the headliner of a Triller Fight Club card. This was Kovalev's first fight in nearly two-and-a-half years. The last time he fought he was in November 2019, when he was stopped by Canelo Alvarez in the 11th round of their 175-pound title bout.

Pacquiao started cherry-picking belts a decade ago.
It’s hilarious because his “fans” claim he’s an 8th division champ like the fight against an UNRANKED margarito, at a CATCH WEIGHT for a VACANT title should actually count.

" cherry picking "...lol .. Marco Antonio Barrera, 2x, Erik Morales 3x , Juan Marquez 4x , Ricky Hatton, Antonio Margarito, Tim Bradley 2x, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Shane Mosely, Floyd Mayweather, Lucas Matthysse, Keith Thurman, Adrian Broner, Yordenis Ugas.
Are you out of your tree buddy ??? Manny Pacquiao, by far the greatest fighter that ever lived.
When PAC and Marg fought, PAC was the welterweight champ, long time welterweight, Margarito was the WBC # 1 ranked Super Welterweightr. . They decided to meet in the middle and fight at 150. People thought Pacquiao was insane fighting the much bigger Margarito at 150. PAC battered Margarito. Where u get your information is downright embarrassing.
