    Gary Russell Sr., a respected trainer who guided his son, Gary Jr., to the 2008 Summer Olympics and the WBC featherweight title, has died. BoxingScene.com confirmed that Russell, 63, died Monday.

    RIP. It's hard to watch a strong man wither. I talked bad about his son, but not his skill, just the once a year appearance. Tragedy is when you do everything right and something goes wrong. This is it.
