  • Comments Thread For: Jamaine Ortiz Stuns Jamel Herring To Win Unanimous 10-Round Decision

Jamel Herring got a rude reminder from Father Time inside the ring Saturday night. Herring, 36, looked sluggish at times.

It's over for Herring, hang em up, had a fine career. Always carried himself with class and integrity.

Herring is a nice guy and class act. He's come a long way since that beat down at the hands of Shafikov and had a nice run with solid wins over Ito, Roach and Frampton.

He looked old in the ring last night. Ortiz isn't anything special but he was the bigger, you get man and Herring just can't compete at the levels necessary to be relevant.

Hang 'em up champ, you've had a helluva career.

Agree with PBR Streetgang. Herring could still be competitive with most guys around 130 & 135 but he is a proud man & wouldn't want to end up as an opponent
