  • Comments Thread For: Errol Spence: My Main Goal is To Keep Looking Great, Keep Winning

By Thomas Gerbasi - By the time boxers like Errol Spence Jr. reach that pay-per-view headliner spot and close in on 30 pro fights, they're usually a finished product. There's the good, the bad, and the ugly - things for an opponent to avoid and areas where he believes he can pin a loss on a perfect record.

This should be a great fight. Spence has lost rounds vs kell Brook and Shawn porter they were his best opponents. He was able to break them down, not so much porter as he did Brook tho. Ugas is better than both porter and Brook so it will be interesting to see if spence can overcome him. Will also be very interesting to see how this fight is scored

Not sure about the hype here but the pre-GGG Brook beats Ugas. Ugas is a complete class below Lara in terms of Cuban skill in the 147 to 154. The only thing that keeps him in the fight is if Spence is diminished.

Time is up for Spence in my opinion. Who he fights next will determine if he is legit. There are WAY too many talented fighters out there right now that are not matching up against the competition we want as fans and they deserve for their legacy. Time is up!

Considering only around 250,000 people will be buying this he doesn’t really have to worry because not many people even know who he is. he is a pay-per-view fighter who will never be a main stream star because of that. Casual fans never get to see his fights so he is just a guy known to hard core boxing fans

Can't disagree with the PPV garbage they keep putting out there anymore used to build a fighter and the fighter wanted to show his self to the World > Now it goes to dollars first and last. Takes away from the fight game. Let me also say hard core fans miss out on a lot of fights too due to PPV and sometimes IF there is an undercard that has a finally developed fighter and his first big fight undercard it on PPV. Not news to anyone just the facts of if they will pay for it we will put it out there. Look at G.DAVIS

No one gives a damn about Spence he's had 1 fight in almost 3 years people have lost interest. I used to like him but his lack of activity and being picky with opponents and now he's past his prime, he's not young anymore.

This is the problem with boxing in general, the countless belt holders get paid so much for one fight, there's very little incentive to fight qhen you're set for life from 1 fight! It'sabsurd.

In the UFC, fighters make 'only' $125K to $800K per fight so there's hunger to fight 3 times a year. In boxing its once a year if you're lucky.

Hey not going to argue with you on the points made on the fight game, and there are a lot more of stuff tht never existed going on now. But still it is a fact that the fan, the fight freak however you want to call yourself is the driver in boxing. It sounds impossible but if 90% of fight fans turned there backs on boxing for say a month and represented themselves thru a few right guys that is how you change boxing. Because money is there driver.

That's right! Don't like it, don't buy it, vote with your $$$s. This is professional prizefighting and these guys haven't got too long to make $$$, so they follow the money.
