This is a make or break fight for Giyasov. If he can make a statement against Gomez, he’ll be ready to go to the next level. He hasn’t looked too good in his last two performances. I know he’s being billed as the next big star of Uzbekistan, but he hasn’t convinced me. He’s surrounded by sharks in this talent-heavy division. Shohjahon Ergashev on the other hand has looked phenomenal. He’ll become champion at 140. Now that he’s renewed his contract with Salita, hopefully he can get a busy schedule this year.
