  • Comments Thread For: Inoue-Donaire Rematch Set: Unification To Take Place June 7, Saitama Super Arena

Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire are set to do it again and with even more at stake the second time around. The world's top two bantamweights are officially set for their long-discussed rematch, which BoxingScene.com has confirmed will take place June 7 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The three-belt unification bout--Inoue's WBA/IBF titles at stake along with Donaire's WBC strap--will be carried live on Japan's Amazon Prime Video. U.S. television distribution rights were not made available at the time of Wednesday's announcement, though BoxingScene.com has learned that such plans will be revealed in the coming weeks.

What a career Donaire has had man, nearly 40 years old and still chasing greatness. A modern great IMO.

Just Fkin Do it Nonito! If you Knew me, I Met Donaire before he became a World Champ. I thought he will go all the way to Featherweight. He came up short when he lost to the Axe man. But he makes it work, going back to 118 and now close to being Unified. IMHO, the 2nd Greatest Filipino Fighter Next to Manny.

Nice! Respect to both fighters for agreeing to run it back, first fight was a great fight that a lot of people missed, unfortunately the smaller Divisions still don't get the respect or attention it should but the smaller fighters come to FIGHT

Inoue is with Top Rank is he not? So I would assume this will be on ESPN/ESPN+ here in the U.S.
