  • Comments Thread For: Benavidez: Plant Likes The Way That Canvas Taste, He Gonna See It Again Real Soon

David Benavidez continues to fan the flames for a renewed rivalry with Caleb 'Sweethands' Plant. There was never any love lost between the two during their overlapping super middleweight title reigns, though it unfortunately never materialized into a unification bout.

Isn't Plant also looking to fight Dirrell? Pretty positive that is what we'll get. If we do somehow get this fight it will be PPV which makes no sense but that's how PBC do.

What happens so often in boxing when you look past an opponent and are acting like you beat the guy already ?
It's not like Lemiuex has no power.

If you don’t like ppvs you can always purchase tickets and go see the fight live. That way you won’t even have to worry about the PPV

Well, that won't happen to Plant against Benavidez, because he's not fighting Benavidez.

Possible fight for later this year. I don't think Benavidez is winning the Canelo lottery in '22, he'll need a dance partner after he gets past Lemieux. He better look good beating Lemieux, if he struggles with him he's going to lose some negotiating leverage.

Wow, I never thought about that. Are you saying this fight is PPV worthy? No belts, one coming off a KO loss the other has a paper thin resume and who knows if he'll even make weight.
